Close, it‘s my bro n’ sear. Same idea, just made out of two Weber charcoal baskets, easy to do and reversible.

Sure, just unhook one tab on each basket and partially overlay the flat sides. I also cut out a notch for one of the tabs to hold it a little better. It’s flimsy but it works
