Just received my new valve in the mail. Does it look like it will work along with my old valves?

My old valves lock at the high, med, and low mark where the new valve only locks on the high position. They both screw into the manifold, and they both seem to stick out as much. When I look into the valve (the part that screws into the manifold), it appears different when I turn it. Like the size of the holes inside the valves look slightly different. Is it as simple as using it to see if it’s compatible?

I would just screw it in and see how it works, don't forget the pipe dope on the threads. The valves on my Genesis Gold only lock at the high position as opposed to locking on all three positions on my Genesis 1000.

Another thing to consider is that some Genesis valves have a 3/4 sweep and some less.
