Has anyone tried this glaze?

• 1 cup Jack Daniel's Whiskey
• 1 cup ketchup
• 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
• 1/4 cup vinegar
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 1/2 teaspoon dry mustard
• salt and pepper to taste

Thinking about trying this in a couple of hours. Sounds good, but kinda a waste of JD.

Did you make this?

It reads more like a sauce as far as quantity goes. This is enough to glaze a few cases of ribs.

You could re-work this to make less, no problem, and thus use far less JD. I think I'd change the sugar and switch the dry mustard to Dijon though. The lemon needs to go in at the very end, off heat. Apple, fig or pineapple vinegar would be best, imo, and I think green pepper would be better than black.

Did you try this? What did you think?
