ISO Genesis Lid (1000-5000)

Trying to find a replacement lid for this project. Wedding gift for my brother, and when I picked it up didn’t realize the extent of the fade.

Went and looked at two yesterday but both were faded worse than this one.

Any color would be fine.

Look for any color other than black. Black is the only color that is usually susceptible to the "weber fade".

And any lid from a genesis 1000-5000, Genesis Silver/Gold/Platinum B or C or even the early Spirit E3xx grills should fit that grill. So you have lots of donor grills to get a replacement from.

That lid should fit your gril, but you will need to use the handle and end caps with the lid.

Good to know. I really like the SS tube handle but I also like those colored lids. Wish they could be married together.

Gold SS handle can be adapted to a 2-burner Silver A lid, but it is to short to be used here on a 3-burner colored lid. I did it here with a black one, but they do have colored Silver A lids in this style. This will not work with Alex's application though.

I’ve always wanted to put one of those on a grill with durawood, with that SS cookbox shield on it. I think it would look really nice.

If you go that route be sure to check out the inner liner. Those tend to get crispy and crunchy.

That handle looks really good. Good to know there are some limited cases where it can be used.
