is this the right brinkman to use as a replacement water pan??

No. The pan you seek is the Brinkmann Replacement Charcoal Pan. It does not appear to be currently available on the Bass Pro site. If you live in a state with Academy Sports stores, they usually stock it. You might also find one in-store at a Bass Pro.
