Is the Smokenator worth it?


 
I'll admit to ever using one but dont see the need when you buy a couple firebricks and bank to one side using the minion method or using the snake. Or you could build a mini wsm.
 
I have no personal experience with the Smokenator. I bank the charcoal and use a couple of fire bricks, the results are excellent.
 
I've used the smokenator, really works well if you have the rotisserie on the kettle, for chicken, you can actually get edible skin, I use 45 brics w/12 lit in the chimney, couple chunks of pecan.
