Is it normal for burner tubes to move?

Just reassembled my Genesis 1000 and the burner tubes move about a 1/4 inch back and forth inside the manifold. Is this normal?

It is on my Silver C. Maybe not 1/4" but noticable play

yes it is they can slide a little
