Interchangeable Genesis Lids?

First time on this forum.

Our new Genesis 2, 335, with a black lid, will be delivered in six days, replacing our old Genesis we purchased in 2010. This old unit is also a three burner with with a side burner. Its lid is forest green, which we particularly like.

Any chance the this green lid will fit or otherwise be used on the new Genesis 2? We much prefer the green color over the black color.

No, the pins poke thru about 2 inches from the back on the inside the firebox
2016 and older, the pins were located about an inch from the outside back of the firebox.
 
Well Rats! That's too bad, but I'm not surprised. Wishful thinking on my part. Everything on our deck is green and white and the blue just doesn't do it, accordingly to my wife.
