Hello, all, and thank you for having me. I am a 32 year old videographer living in Ann Arbor and working in metro Detroit. I recently moved into a new home and in the garage was a weber grill! it definitely needs some TLC! i am not very handy and i am also kinda new to grilling on an actual grill (now i have a little gas girl that takes the small propane tanks.) i was excited to find this community and i am hoping someone will help me get this grill into great shape. everything i have seen so far is wonderful, and it makes me excited about the possibilities of my own project. anyways, thanks again and i look forward to getting tips from you guys and gals!

looks like a genesis B but i have no idea!

Welcome aboard Josh. With a little bit of work you will have an excellent Genesis grill. My wife made hamburgers on my 96 Genesis last night. Easy to use and works great. Good Luck. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

thank you all for the warm welcome. where to next? whats the best way to upload my photos? how can i figure out what needs to be replaced on my grill?

Follow THIS LINK Josh. It tells how to post pics and video's. As for what needs to be replaced, the first question is have you fired it up yet to check functionality? I think that the first thing I would do is to try using it and then clean everything. That will give you a good idea of any functional problems. From your pics, it lucks like it could use some sanding and paint but more pics could help.

You should also look at this link for what others have done on their rehabs. This should give you some great ideas.

Thanks, Bob, I appreciate the info. I will take more pictures soon and get them all posted. I guess i will have to get the propane refilled and see if she fires up! then i will go from there. thank you for the advice!

welcome! My grandparents were both raised in Ann Arbor and my Dad was born in Lansing, MI. Most of my family ended up in Texas but still love MI. Good luck getting that grill cleaned up!
