I'll be following along on this one. I picked up the natural gas version of the same 3400 grill here in the states just a little while back and tossed it into my rehab queue. I'm pretty confident I won't even start on it until sometime next spring. I'm surprised that this model lasted at least 3 years...mine is an "EO" (1995) and yours is an "EZ (1998). A lot of us veteran guys on here knew little to nothing about the existence of these 3400's until very recently. Keep us posted on your progress.

I’ve set this NOS side burner aside for my 3400 rehab. Hopefully, the rest of the grill is worthy of it as I dig into the project. Time will tell.

I like how they peeled the protective plastic off of the mounting tab (I assume both tabs) before installing the push pins to secure the lid. They left all of the rest of the plastic in place to further protect the lid during handling. Back in the day they thought of *everything*
