I Made Something Else

Here in Charlotte, they are doing a full remote/digital learning for the schools starting Monday. Pammi, and all the other teachers, are pulling their hair out trying to figure out how to do the online teaching!
Her coworker, and mother of our 2 youngest god sons, sent her a pick and asked if I could make it my next project.
Sure!
2 1 X 2’s and 3 strap hinges later, we had this!

3 stands cost me less than $15, and it’d be even less if you didn’t need them to fold up!
While I’m at it, say a prayer for Pammi and her coworkers.
They’re going to need it this next semester!

Color me ignorant, fine craftsmanship, but what is it? What does it do?
(don't see how it could function as a flat screen monitor stand)
(not sure how it would work for a laptop)
(seem kinda' large for an I-pod)

It looks as if you solved a problem, but I am not sure what the problem is (was) or what the stands are for.
(not flaming, just unsure. )

Frank, the complaint she had was that teaching from home, at the dining room table, the screen was too low and was hurting her neck looking down at it.
Here’s a picture of it when I was checking the height. AF195018-FEF4-460B-BADB-704E8C59E04C.jpeg
I had to shorten it width wise a couple inches as I made it too wide.

Aha! Thanks for the context. I like it and may try something similar.

I am used to 3 monitors with desktop at my office. At home I am using my laptop with docking station and 2 flatscreens. The laptop monitor is not at the same height and can empathize with your now solved dilemma.

Thanks for posting!
