I love my Lump/Chicken

Made no water pan, Chicken Lg. qtrs. last night, with Lump Charcole, for first time. I thought thermometer was "Stuck", lid temp 360. Even after I took the chicken off, closed damper, Temp came down slowly until fire went out. I would have had a very difficult time kepping temp up with Briquettes, I believe. Chicken came out very good. Think for Butt/longer cooks will stick with Briquettes.
