I Learned a Valuable Lesson

I have 2 Weber Gassers. a Summit Platinum D6 NG in perfect condition that I use Spring/Summer/Fall and a Genesis S320 that is my "Winter Beater" along with my TEC Sterling 2.
Every Spring in prep for putting the S320 away for the year, I clean the BBQ with grill cleaner and power wash all the grease and let it dry. I do my best to keep the water stream from the power washer away from the burners to prevent them from getting water logged.
Fast forward to yesterday.
I did the Autumn swap and attempted to fire up the Genesis to make sure it was good to go.
Barely any flame and the burners kept extinguishing.
I assumed it was water in the burners, so I heated them up to 400F using a propane torch hoping to "boil off" the water.
Nope - no change.
After playing around for an hour I got the brainwave to check the NG hose for a spider's nest.
I found an egg sack and pulled it out with a coat hanger and bingo - everything worked as it should.
Epilogue: The Summit NG hose end is in a plastic bag tightly closed to prevent spider access as a new part of my BBQ swap routine.
