I believe this started at least six months ago but is still ongoing and of course grifters and price gouging follow like a shadow.
Now I like the Huy Fong brand. It's very good. Last I paid was fairly normal price, about $5 for the big bottles. Got a few small bottles for $2.50 a pop too. I also like their brand of chili garlic paste and their Sambal Oelek. But their Sriracha at $70/bottle is silly.
I have tried some very suitable alternatives including Pete's Cha, Yellow Bird(a bit pricey but good) Tabasco Sriracha...to name a few.
Aldi had a good house brand one but discontinued it awhile ago. Trader Joe's brand taste like it's made in a Merck pharma lab.
What are everyone's alternatives to the Huy Fong these days?
Sriracha sauce shortage causes prices to spike upward of $70 a bottle
Businesses and people who have managed to get their hands on a popular sriracha sauce brand are listing the spicy condiment for high prices, but consumers are split on the costs.
