My father gave me an 8lb pork loin. I stupidly froze it before cutting it into more managable pieces. Any sugegstions before I go caveman and take my miter saw to it? (No, I don't have a band saw.)

I a bandsaw would do the trick. /infopop/emoticons/icon_razz.gif

If you have a nice serrated bread knife, that may work. Otherwise, if there is a small butcher shop nearby, see if they could cut it for you.

Chainsaw? Just kidding. Now that would be a sight.....I'd have to agree...take it to a butcher or a band saw would work. Hmm...this could be that excuse you've been looking for to get the spouse to let you buy a band saw. Too birds with one stone.

I've cut a "log" of frozen hamburger with my chop saw before. Go for it. Its fast, but does spray frozen "sawdust" bits of meat, so do it outside rather than in your shop, or my case, my garage.
