How long will smoked turkey keep unfrozen?

I am going to smoke a whole bird (most likely on Sunday or Monday before Thanksgiving). I have a foodsaver so I was thinking about smoking the turkey, pulling it and vacuum sealing it and storing it in the fridge. Then I thought I would heat it on Thursday for the meal.

I have a food saver and was thinking that I would smoke it, pull it, seal it and store it in the fridge. Then, I would heat it in hot water in the FS bag.

Do you think it would be ok in the fridge for 3-5 days vacuum sealed? I can freeze it but I don't think it's as good frozen and thawed out.

Thoughts? Idea?

Yep^^^

Just did that with a turkey we did on Sunday.

Gave a few bags to my Son's, and they can figure out what to do with them later.

Fully cooked meat lasts awhile vac sealed and smoked lasts even longer...

Thanks....

the weather is shaping up so it looks like I'll smoke it on Sunday. That's 4 days in the fridge - vacuum sealed. I think that should be ok.
