How long will ribs last in fridge

Not sure where to post this but I bought some baby backs on Wednesday, with plans to do them on thursday but I had so much meatloaf left over, I postponed that til today. Well today the wind is howling up to 50 mph so they're not gonna get done today. How long will they last in the fridge, or should I go ahead and freeze them (which I hate to do). I wont be able to cook them until sunday now, which would be great for football


Oh, I do have a vacuum pack machine so maybe freezing them wont be too bad.

The government safety standard for ribs and certain other fresh uncooked pork products is 3-5 days in the fridge. Is there a "use by" date on the package?

I just checked the date and it was sell by 1-20 so thats sunday, I should be good. I vacuumed packed them and put them back in the fridge just to help

Should be good........should be colder on the bottom shelf.

I'm leary of this kind of stuff.......recently, I had some chicken go bad after 4 days in the fridge, and it hadn't gone past the "sell by" date yet.

It hacked me off because I was counting on it for a party and I had to scramble out to the grocery store for some more meat!

Yes, pay no attention to the "sell by" date. That's why I asked about a "use by' date. You're good.
