How long do you air dry post brine? Other post brine prep?

I've seen a range of opinions on how long you should air dry the turkey in your fridge after you brine it. I've seen anywhere from 6 hours up to 2-3 days. What do you do?

Also, do you do anything after you've brined your bird in terms of further seasoning/prep to it before cooking it?

Daum, I brine my turkey for 24 hours, usually from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday afternoon. On Wednesday afternoonI remove it from the brine, rinse it off, pat it dry then place it in an aluminum pan and into the fridge until Thursday morning around 10am. At that point I will pull it out of the fridge, drain whatever juices have accumulated in the cavity and then proceed to prep it. I normally use softened butter and herbs and rub it under the skin on the breast side. The outside gets a coating of olive oil and a very simple salt/pepper/garlic dry rub. THEN, I put a 2 1/2 gallon ziplock bag with ice in it over the breast of the turkey to cool the breast temp about 10-15 degrees, so that the breast and thighs/drumsticks finish cooking at about the same time.

The bird sits on the counter for about an hour after I'm done with all this crap (LOL) before it goes on the cooker around 1pm.

Yes to ALL of this.
