How is it that I can not connect to my HM entering my IP to either IE browser, or Bing browser, but it will connect using Google Chrome? This caused me many hours of frustration.

IE probably assumes the average user typing in a string of numbers in the address bar really meant to search for 192.168.1.999. You can try putting "http://" in front of it.

IE works just fine for me. Possibly you have it configured to use a proxy?

Ha didn't occur to me when I made up an IP address to pick the last number under 255.... We'll go with IPv5
