How do I reheat pulled pork in a chaffing dish?

I did a search and found a little bit of information. Mostly it was on reheating vac-sealed bags in boiling water.

In my case I froze 4 pulled butts in two of those big 2 1/2 gallon zip-lock bags. I will be reheating them tommorrow noon for consumption. I took them out of the freezer last night and put into fridge.

I used the renowned Mr.Brown recipe. So, how should I go about re-heating them?

Thanks,
Ron

Pour about 1-1/2 to 2 cups of apple juice in a crock pot or roaster. Mix well every 10minutes or so. You may want to add more liquid or sauce if desired.

I wrap the pulled pork in heavy duty foil with some apple juice mixed in and let it reheat in a 250 degree oven. That approach works best for me.

I did the crock pot method as Rick did for a Super Bowel party and it worked really well. </div></BLOCKQUOTE>
So was it the hit of the "potty"?

I'm sorry michele, my sense of humor sometimes gets in the way of my common sense. Not trying to be mean, just having a little fun!

Seriously though .... Ron, are you reheating all four butts? If so, you're gonna need an 18 qt roaster for all of that meat. Personally I would reheat in full size foil pans, a couple of butts in each pan, add some liquid if you'd like (a little never hurts), cover in foil, and reheat at about 300-325*. Depending on the temp of the meat when you put it in the oven or cooker, it should take between 40 and 60 minutes to reach a serving temp of 150*. No need to stir. Then you can transfer to a roaster if you'd like.

Speaking of chaffers ......... Does anyone know the temps attained in a typical full sized chaffer with two lit sternos and two pans (one for water)?

Thanks everyone for the advice...

I won't have access to an oven so my only options are the chaffing pans or crock pot/roaster pans. Not even sure I will have access to a roaster pan. I do own two crock pots though. I think one is a 5 quart and one is a 6 quart.

I'm thinking the crock pots are the way to go.
