How can I quickly get more heat?

Greetings to all,

I've been quietly reading this *great* forum and just took deliverly of my Weber SMC smoker. Because I wanted to run a "test chicken" and thought the new Weber would run hot, I used no water, lit 1 chimney, and had temps of about 250. I'd really like about 350 so I lit another 1/2 chimney. Temp is 303. All vents open.

Anyone have any ideas how I can heat her up?

You really want two lit at the outset for that kind of cook. Get another 1/2-1 going; meanwhile flip the door over so that the knob is on the bottom and prop it open.
