Hot Nuts Rub (It is not too hot)

2 T salt
1/3 cup sugar
2 T black pepper
1/4 cup ancho pepper
1/4 cup allepo pepper
2 cascabel peppers
5 guajillo peppers
1/4 cup onion powder
1/4 cup garlic powder
2 T sage
2 T cumin
2 t celery seed
2 t allspice
2 t ginger powder
1 t nutmeg ( the nut in Hot Nuts)

T=Tablespoon
t=teaspoon

Excellent on pork and chicken, fish is not bad too!

Anti-salters-just leave it out.
This rub is not hot but brings flavor.

Don't have that variety of peppers...just substitute. A little cayenne will add heat if you want some.

LMAO I think I'll have to try this just for the title. Maybe a taste test... "Did you like my Hot Nuts Rub?"

Besides, I have all the peppers and need to start experimenting. Would you say this rub is spicy for the non-spicy crowd, but mild for chili-heads?

I have some cascabel and guajillo pepper already ground. What's the powder equivalent for "2 cascabel peppers" and "5 guajillo" peppers?

My guess is:
two cascabels=1 teaspoon ground
(I did not have a cascabel pepper to grind to measure...I did grind one guajillo to get the measurement)
one guajillo= 1 1/2 teaspoon ground
