So, I have done beans on the smoker with decient results...not to much smoke flavor. Im thinking I might make my famous hot dog and bean casserole and cook it on the weber while I smoke a brisket at high heat this weekend. Anyone have any recomendations or thoughts??? How can I get a little more smoke flavor???

Add a little more wood.

Would your famous hot dog and bean casserole happen to be one with cornbread on the top? In either case, would you be willing to share the recipe??

Hi Benjamin,

I smoke my beans in a large, 14-inch pan. It gives a lot of surface area for smoke adsorption. Then, I stir them rather frequently to mix in the smoke and move unsmoked beans and unsmoked liquid to the top for exposure to the smoke. Works like a charm.
