Are the resistors inside the red square the R5, R16, R17, R18 resistors that are connected to the probe jacks that can be swapped out with different resistors based on the type of probe?

Yes, they're the 4 in the middle with the silkscreen "10k 1%" on them.

If you swap these resistors out for the 22k resistors how low will the temp read with the newer maverick probes?

You should be able to get an additional 10-15F on the lower end.

It should actually read at room temperature even with the 10k resistors so it is hard to say. You can compare the curves using this tool (set it to ET-732 for both)

My HM uses ET-732 probes and 22k resistors.

I just stuck my probe into the fridge then the freezer and it started to act strange right at 9 degrees F, where it started jumping between 9/0/9/0. Then it stayed at 0.

So I'd say 9 degrees F is about the low point, either for the probe itself or the HM ADC with the 22k resistor.

Thanks for the info! I will order the newer maverick probes and replace the resistors if needed.

Any preference between the thermo and maverick probes?
