Hi everybody,
My name is Mike and I found an old Weber gas grill in the trash a couple years ago and still cannot pin down the exact model. The timing could not have been better as my other grill has deteriorated beyond repair and owning this one has been a real treat. Because of this experience I will spend the money on a new Weber grill when the time comes, but I am more likely to repair this one.
Thanks for having me.

Welcome to the forum Mike. You should post picks of the Weber gasser and that could help to ID it. How is it working and what needs to be worked on? Many of us have rehabbed old Genesis gassers and love them. I have had mine for over a year and it was 20 years when I got it and rehabbed it and it will last me at least another 20 years. Weber is still supporting these old gassers and still sell many of the required parts. I don't know of any other brand I would want. Waiting to see pics of that great gasser.

Welcome to the forum Mike, oldies are great weber's. We have a 1000/2000 Genesis that Rich and I got in 1998 and it's still doing great. Looking forward to seeing some cooks and we like lots of pics.
