I'm a Weber novice but I've recently acquired 2 86' H model kettles (one red, one orange/brown)
in really poor condition that I plan to restore :)
So far so good!
Really enjoying my new hobby and definitely starting to understand and relate to all the dedicated collectors I'm coming across on these forums and in Facebook groups!

I'm always open to advice and any tip or tricks people have had success with relating to restoration
And I'd also be grateful to receive any pointers for those hidden gems where I could find replacement parts!

Looking forward to being a part of this forum!
Cheers!

Welcome from Kalona, IA. Nice job on cleaning up your kettles. They will cook like new.
Thanks :D
Unfortunately they're quite beaten up but I guess it adds to the character haha.
I got a 3rd one today.. a black K model.. with the intention of using it for parts.. but I can tell I already love it 😀
Obsession is growing!

Welcome from the East coast of Canada. Looks like you have caught the dreaded Weberitis, which is incurable. Refurbishing these wonderful old grills is a great hobby and it looks like you are well on your way. Enjoy it!

Thanks so much ! I'm excited to be a part of this cool community haha
'Weberitis' gold! I have a feeling the only thing stopping me from collecting is going to be a sad lack of storage space. See how we go 😏
