Help!! What can I use as a Temporary fix until the front door assembly arrives??

Good Morning Everyone,

In the process of moving a 22.5 WSM parts that I was given, I managed to lose the front door assembly from the back of my truck on the drive back. I have ordered the replacement part from Weber but I am at the mercy of USPS (FEDEX passes it on to them for the final delivery), but I am having guests on Sunday and the only thing that’s holding me back from using the WSM is the front door assembly. Any proven thoughts on what I can use as a temporary fix until the actual door arrives so I can smoke some ribs on the WSM this Sunday?

Go to lowes and get a piece of aluminum large enough to cover the opening. Roll it around your leg good enough to fit pretty good then tape on and seal with high temp foil tape.

Hmm. How about one of those Heavy duty Tin foil pans. You can cut the bottom to shape. You can get some wire to act like a giant twist tie to keep in in place (one on the top of the foil and one on the bottom of the foil).
