I have owned a WSM 18". Have tried a couple of different recipes with great success in the summer. A little of harder time to maintain the temperature in the winter

Welcome! Yes temps can be hard to maintain in the winters up here (just around the corner from you in Milton). Look at some other people's modifications and builds to keep the temp in the frosty weather.
