Hello from rainy Western NY!

Hi all,

Seeing as I've already been begging for help over in the gas grills forum, I guess I should actually introduce myself. I stumbled into the World of Weber after first stalking Reddit's "Buy it for Life" forum and seeing an awful lot of recommendations for the Genesis series. I ended up snagging a black top model from 1993 (I think, since it has the KL1 serial number prefix) for $30. Not the most amazing deal in the world given the fact that the bars and regulator need replacing, the wood is getting old, and there's a burner knob missing...but I figure all said and done, it'll still end up as a better grill than anything I'd buy brand new for the same money that I'll be sinking into this. And I have nothing but time on my hands now since my entire industry is shut down, so I'm not losing any precious free time by getting this up to snuff.

Looking forward to getting this fired up once the parts arrive!
