Greetings.
I brought home today a gently used Genesis E-310 LP. It joins my 22 inch Original Kettle Premium.
Serial number AO 1128431, so it was made for the 2015 model year. Model 6511001.
It was kept under cover, and 10 miles from the ocean. The finish looks like new.

I have two questions so far.

I can't find sale prices of discontinued models. Am I right that a comparable today would sell for $700?
I paid $250. That was the best price by far on local Craigslist for the model.

I am 1/2 mile from the ocean. We get salty mist. It came with a Weber cover. I heard that covered grills will corrode faster near the ocean than uncovered. Any advise?

Hi Dennis. Weber says, if you live near the coast, you should wipe down the grill exterior with a damp cloth once a week and dry completely; only cover your grill in inclement weather. If it's stainless, they recommend using a stainless steel cleaner at the first sign of staining, discoloration or rust.
