Hello and thank you, I’ve got a Weber Genesis 1000 that I’ve been slowly restoring, I’m still working on converting it from a quick connect to a regular propane and I’ve hit some snags. I look forward to seeing everyone’s grills and hopefully learning some things.

Welcome Anthony, nice looking Genesis 1000 you have there. I'm surprised you are able to still get those old tanks refilled anymore. All you have to do to get it to work with the newer tanks is either replace the hose and regulator or the quick connect fitting on your regulator with an acme nut. Don't hesitate to ask questions, you are in the right place for answers.

Thank you Steve! That’s my issue, I finally can’t get them filled anymore and I’m down to half a tank left out of three.
Is it as simple as replacing the part with the black arrow in the attached photo with the part in the second photo? Any tips on removing it if it doesn’t want to come out?
Thank you again!IMG_0849.jpegIMG_0850.jpeg
