Hey folks,
I've been lurking for a while and figured it was hi-time to join up. I started smoking a little while back on a Brinkman electric, quickly jumped to an El Cheapo side box charcoal smoker, and will fire up my newly built mini WSM this weekend. I have learned a whole lot in a short time from y'all, and am grateful. Hopefully I will be able to contribute soon as I like to tweak and modify as I go.

Welcome Alan, I get around SB and Montecito about once a year and will let you know the next time I am in your area. Maybe we can talk WSM's and smoking.
 
I'm like you Alan, I did the side box then the electric, now I'm into an 18. It's leaps and bounds better than the others. Have fun.
