Good morning. I've had my WSM for about 5 years and almost kind of gave up on it before the pandemic started after my second failed overnight pork butt cook. I've had my successes too though and eventually realized why I had my flameouts. I love BBQ and smoking food. I picked up a pellet grill last year and started using more online resources and picked up a few books here and there and really kind of honed on my cooking skills. Last year I used the WSM a lot more and picked up a Billows fan and feel confident that my flameout days are over. This year my goal is to do my first ever overnight brisket. Thanks and looking forward to checking this forum out. I've been using this website as a resource since day 1 5 yrs ago but never signed up.

Welcome to the forum! Lots of great people and tons of knowledge here. Hope you enjoy it. Do you have the 18” or 22” wsm?

Welcome KRoche! Great crew here that love smoking, grilling and many other types of cooking. Lots of different prospectives on almost everything makes for an interesting learning experience.

Welcome !

we like pics of grills and smokers and pics of the food going on and coming off. Please share !

Oh, and some like recipes too...

Another welcome here from Missouri (STL area). Also a billows user + operator of a 22" WSM. Like other members, I've tried a lot of different methods for cooking on the WSM so would be happy to share the experience. Just let us know what you need.... we also live vicariously thru each other's smoker and food pics so be sure to share some photos ;)

Sorry for the late reply I haven’t checked in in a while. I have an 18 inch WSM. I actually won it through a work prize five years ago. I had the option to redeem points to get a 22 inch WSM but I decided to go with the 18 inch and then use my other points on a yeti hard cooler that has come quite in handy for using as a Cambro.

I did my first brisket this past weekend but I did it on my pellet grill because I just didn’t feel like fussing with a fire at 4:45 in the morning when I was 20° outside.
