Hello everyone -
I am the proud new owner of a shiny (for now) new 22.5" WSM, ordered from Amazon.com. I'm anticipating breaking it in by doing a dry run and a bacon strip smoke sometime this weekend. After that, it's on to the twin-pack of pork butts I picked up at Costco the other day.
I've been reading quite a bit and learning a lot from this board. I enjoy the friendly banter and wealth of information. What a great resource! I hope to become a valued contributor to the board.
This is my very first Weber smoker; however, I'm not new to smoking. I've had a Cookshack Smokette 009 for about five years and have enjoyed it tremendously. My family loves the brisket, pulled pork, turkey and ribs that I've mastered on that cooker. Now I'm looking forward to learning to smoke on a true charcoal / wood smoker!
