Hello All!
I am a Southern transplant in Yankee territory and I've been here for around 14 years.
I've been grilling since I can remember with much love to my grandfather and father who showed me the ropes.
When my wife and I bought our first house 7 years ago, I started smoking in my 22" Weber Kettle One Touch Gold and haven't looked back since.
The grill compliment includes the kettle with a smokenator (primary rig), a gasser (used rarely), a Brinkman smoker (for emergency use only usually), and two picnic / camping grills.
Next on the list is a WSM so that the summer cookouts can be accommodated for regular crowds of 15 - 20 folks since my BBQ partner in crime has moved on and taken his with him.
I am in process of building the Heatermeter V4 temperature controller as discussed at length on the forums.
Today's mother's day cook will be smoked pork loin and my wife and kids are already bugging me about it. Usual suspects are ribeyes, pork butts, beef briskets, turkeys for holidays and ribs whenever we have the time.
Thank you for having me around!
Phillip
