Hi there, everyone. Glad to be on this board. I received a new Weber Smokey Mountain 18" smoker from my wife for our 8th anniversary. Not a bad gal after 8 years! She got a nice ring out of it in exchange, so not a bad deal.

I had occasion to cook on it this past Sunday and it was quite an adventure. I'm looking forward to learning from you all. I used a lot of the resources on the VWB site to create my first meal: pork butt and beef brisket. It all turned out okay, except things were a little dry. I have an extensive post all ready to cut-and-paste into this board once I know my way around. I'd love some input on where I should put it. Any ideas?
