Hello All from Columbus, OH-quick question

I am excited to join the club. Just got my first smoker for Father's Day...first smoke attempt was July 4th weekend. The second one is today. Getting ready to do 3 racks of ribs...question, if I do some of the racks on the bottom grate and some on the top, will the cook times vary or should I but a rib rack to fit them all on the top? Please advise...thanks in advance.

Welcome to the site Chris, 3 should fit if you have a 22.5, I have also seen 3 on the !8.5, any way the bottom rack will run a tad cooler but in my mind not enough to make a difference, you can always rotate at some point but I rarely do it

Chris... Welcome to the board. You can do them either way. I've done nine racks in my 22 1/2 WSM, five on top and 4 on the bottom. They cooked pretty much the same and I pulled them all at the same time.

Welcome to the site from your neighbor down South. I spent 4 years in Columbus while at OSU. Looking forward to seeing some of your cooks!
