Having my computer fixed

Hi guys,

Exactly 1 month ago today, DH took my computer to be fixed. They shipped it to Texas, charged us almost $400.00 and we can not get anyone to give us any information on what is going on.

Does this seem like a normal length of time to fix a computer?

I am using DH's laptop.
 
You could get a decent new one for not much more depending on what your old one was. What brand and model #? What was wrong?
 
Two weeks ago, I shipped my Mac off to Apple due to a malfunctioning keyboard. 5 days later, I got it back - in like-new condition, with a brand new keyboard and battery. Didn't cost me a dime. Nobody should need your computer for that long unless it needs a part that can't be obtained. Even then, there's got to be some workaround.
