Hatch Chili


 
I have had the experiance of having a smoked Hatch Chili only once. Had some in a Carne Adovada and a Green Chili Stew.

Does anyone know of a good place to order them? Online or on the phone?

I was hoping to smoke/roast them on the WSM for home use. Anyone ever done this? or got an recipies?

I am really interested in roasting or smoking my own chilis.

Any help would be great.

Scott, I buy my fresh chilis online from Da Gift Basket. I roast them on the kettle and gasser till nice and charred. Let them cool to room temp, and place in vac bags. Place bags in freezer till the roasted chilis are almost froozen, about a hr or so and then vac seal them up. I use them all the time in my chili. HTH
