Has anyone tried to make clear ice


 
Hmm, quite interesting. Then I would not need to separate the water feeds in two. (one RO, one high filtered). But, it means something else to put in freezer LOL
 
I have an LG that makes those "round" "clear" cubes. Note the heavy quotes. If I use the slow setting, they're a significant improvement over just some OXO tray ice, but not professional ice by any means.

I did get a few using triple-filtered water and a lot of time. Thought they turned out good:

I have made clear ice using a small cooler. Fill it almost to the top and put in freezer for 24 hours. Then take out, flip and you get about a 4" thick sheet of clear ice. ice.jpg
