Jim,

Your handle installation looks very cool and I would like to install them on my 22 WSM. I have never seen a Weber Fireplace so Googled one up and appears the new handles are made from wood. Were the handles you installed off an older fireplace? Also, did you have to bend them any to get a good fit on the round middle chamber?

Thanks

Scotty W.

Hi Scotty,
The handles on my 22WSM are from an old Weber fireplace, rusty then, butt i sandblasted them clean, then painted black.
I did not have the wood portion of the handles so I simply went to Ace Hardware store to purchase a set of gray plastics.
I perfer the plastic handles on the smoker because they get gunked up and clean up very easily. I save the wood handles for the kettles.

I do not remember having to bend them any to better the fit...
Good luck Scotty!

Jim,

Thanks much for your reply and the info. If I'm understanding correctly the bolt on metal pieces of the handle are the same as the spot welded metal pieces on the WSM? And the plastic pieces on both the fireplace and WSM are the same? I looked on the online Weber's replacement parts and the only thing they showed were the plastic parts of the handle. Guess my best option would be to call Weber CS and see if they'll sell me the metal pieces of the fireplace handle along with the plastic pieces.

Again, thanks for your help

</div></BLOCKQUOTE>I don't believe Weber will sell Fireplace parts unless you have a Weber Fireplace.
