The sun is shining on the low country of South Carolina. Had 12-14 inches of rain at my house, but no flooding problems in my neighborhood. Close by areas did not fair so well.

Now we are standing by for the onslaught of water from the upstate. Lots of people are again in harm's way and need our thoughts and prayers.

Meanwhile I am putting the Weber kettle into service tonight with a dual purpose, first to dry it out and second to enjoy some BBQ
chicken with an adult clear liquid beverage or two.

Glad to here your okay, been watching it on the news, very sad. You folks are drowning and the west cost is drying up, go figure.

Glad to hear that some of my neighbors to the south are okay. There's a lot who aren't. Thoughts and prayers to all.

Got in-laws from Lexington, and the pictures from the Columbia area are horrible to say the least. Nine dams breached?? Large bridges washed away? I haven't seen anything remotely similar since Hurricanes Floyd & Ivan hit NC.

And I'll never forget Hugo.
