guru controller dead

TVWBB Super Fan
after six years of steady use my guru controller died. Unfortunately, replacement cost is much higher than my orginal cost (bought new wsm package with fan for $157 on ebay).

I think the cost effective replacement is just to buy a digi q but I need to find out if my fan is compatible with the new controller. I am toying with the idea of a stoker.

anything else to consider?

Guru blowers only work with guru systems. Same with the probes. Assuming you have the probes and blower in working condition the least expensive option would be probably a Nano-Q. Just ask Bob if your probes/blower is compatible with that unit.

If you have to buy a brand new setup then a stoker is your best choice by far. You might try asking Bob if they can repair the unit. I would try taking it apart and cleaning the ciruit board with isopropal alchohol. It could be something as stupid as a shorted probe. Snap a voltmeter on the output of the wal-wart and make sure you are getting 12vdc. Good luck
