Ground beef sold at Walmart recalled over E. coli concerns
Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling more than 16,000 pounds of beef shipped to Walmart locations across the country over concerns that it could be contaminated with E. coli.
Not to slam on Walmart or any retailer, but grinding your own meats will save you from this issue.
Part of the problem(s) when buying store ground meat is that you're buying meat from 1,000 animals (example, not fact) and that's a lot of handling and room for cross contamination.
If you buy a whole cut steak or protein, you lessen the risk of e-coli.
