grommets from BBQ guru

I am considering ordering the probe grommets for my new WSM from BBQ guru and would like to get an opinion from someone was who has them already. Are they a good product? Are they easy to install? Any danger of cracking the finish on the cooker? Smoke leak? I've only had my WSM for about two weeks and I'm just a little nervous about making any modifications. Thanks.

The guru grommets are a breeze to install, no problems whatsoever.
As far as the smoke leak, it's minimum and the WSM is not meant to be airtight anyway. If you need to worry about ANYTHING while you're using your new WSM, it should be about your supply of libations...

The grommets are a no brainer.

Install them and never look back!

Russell, I think you would find them very easy to install (about a 5 min job)and well worth it.
The probes on my ET-73 slip right through them, no problem.

Thanks for the input guys. I already feel better about making mods. Good links Jim. Good to know about these options. Knowing about all the great support on this site was one of the reasons I chose the WSM.
