Grill Refurb - Cookbox Condition Question

Hi everyone,

I recently came into possession of an old Weber Genesis Silver that was in rough condition. It needs some parts, but before I spend the money, I was curious on getting some thoughts on the condition of the cookbox. I've been going after it, and its gotten quite a bit cleaner from when I started, but there are still a bunch of beige areas. What do you all think? Is this good to use? Thanks!

Heck yah. That is just burned on grease and carbon. It is called "Seasoning". Thrown some flavorizer bars, cooking grates and a big thick Ribeye on that thing and enjoy.

Seriously, it will look that dirty after 10 cooks even if you have it sandblasted clean. Put your time and money into something that will make a difference.
