Griddle tool suggestions?

I see where Weber recommends using tongs when cooking on the gourmet system griddle, but tongs don't work well if you're blackening fish fillets on the griddle. What do anyone use on those occasions?

I have one of these.

I like it cause its wide, not long, useful for removing butts and packers also.
It's a Steve Raichlen one I got at BB&B on CL.
