Hi there
Started on my Weber journey 4 years ago after deciding I wanted to get back to charcoal grilling. I retired from building really big airliners 5 years ago and found I had the time to slow down and enjoy the smoke and fire again. I was grilling on some cheap gas grill, and had a 40 yo Happy Cooker for backup so it was time for a new grill. Went down to the local HD and chose a MT. That grill has been a real work horse since summers are short here. While I was there, I noticed a WSM 18 stuffed under the shelf behind my MT, so a few days later I returned to HD and "liberated" that too. Not long after that I ordered a 14" WSM. For some reason, I got a hankering for a WSM 22 last year, so that was added to my growing fleet. Well, this year I was nosing around Weber's site and came across a MT in Deep Ocean Blue and my head exploded, so in May that was added. Just love that grill with the color and the new vent shape that adds extra adjustability to the cooking experience. So in July I was looking around Weber again and saw the GB 26er, so although I didn't think it was possible, my head exploded again. Hit the buy now button, had one in the cart, went to checkout and nope, sorry no longer available. Well, shoot! So I kept my eye on the web site until the Inform Me button came up. About a week later, Aug. 18th I was informed they were availble again at 2 pm. Got one in the cart and finally got through checkout by 2:40. By 3 they were sold out again. I recieved it yesterday with some blemishes on the lid, so I contacted Weber about it, and was informed this morning a new lid was on backorder and 2 weeks out. So in the meantime the cooking starts. here is the family.IMG_20200827_112436.jpg

Well Pat looks like you have the making of a very acute addition that has bitten many here. So welcome to our world you will fit right in.

Thanks Kevin
The grilled and smoked foods don't last long when the kids and grandkids hear that I have something on the grill or in the smoker. They do "flyby's" to pick up goodies I cook.

Patrick, blue is my favourite colour. Great Weber family there. 👍

Thanks Richard.
Mine too. Both blue kettles were impulse buys. I was on the fence over the 26er, the Glen Blue sealed the deal.
