Hello everyone!
Found this awesome forum by accident as i tried to find a way to restore an Old Weber Spirit 500 LP (1997), that i recieved from my parents. (who got it from an old couple). I have zero knowledge about Weber grills, besides the fact that I know their qualities in terms of strong materials and good craftmanship. I was so surprised when i saw the enthusiasm on this forum, and now want to learn more about how to shape this up, to hopefully get another 10-20 years out of it!
No idea whatsoever of the condition compared to others, its greasy, but everything is working with the gas and burning tubes. Hopefully i will be able to restore it and read enough about restoration, before I do anything stupid
(like painting the porcelain lid for instance).

And yeah, we do have hot summers in Norway too
