Hello everyone, my name is Cliff Peerson and I live in Lincoln California. I will say I've been lurking at various BBQ website's for approximately a year now and thought I was ready to buy a pellet smoker. After much reading and deliberation with others I decided to purchase a 18.5 WSM cooker a few weeks ago. I have cooked two tri-tips and the thanksgiving turkey with much success. I couldn't see spending the money for a pellet smoker when the Weber Smoking Mountain Cooker will cook just as well. I'm used to Weber products since the Weber Kettle has been the only BBQ I've owned since married to my lovely wife Tina for the past 36 years.

We now have an empty nest and BBQ is something I've always loved to do. I've turned and old refrigerator into a smoker years ago and would smoke the salmon and sturgeon I used to catch. Made beef jerky as well. I've always love to be creative and cook my own meals. Made my first apple pie the other day and my wife said, That's It! You can now make the pie's from here on out that was so good. Hope to learn a lot and share my experiences with others on the forum. I thank those who allowed me to be apart of this group.

Welcome Cliff! I've been looking a place to retire and checked out Lincoln and liked what I saw. Been leaning towards Redding or Red Bluff, but Lincoln is still very much on the list. Looking forward to seeing some of your cooks, would like to see that old refrigerator you turned into a smoker
 
ChuckO that old refrigerator was made and used many many years ago. It was great but the weather finally got to it. I cooked some Chicken last weekend. One whole chicken which I done butterfly style. Turned out nice along with four thighs. I've got to figure out how to post pics since I know that's what everyone likes to see, I know I do.
